In Module 1 we spend time learning about ways that we can use technology to our advantage and there are many ways that this is possible, but my blog will be about my favorite ways. I am a communications director and a local church here in Houston and we have spent the last year getting the whole office up to date with technology. Before I started working there, we had no social media presence or a working website. we have since then connected with other churches and been brought up to speed on all of the local events. we were even very successful in having a raffle for a car using QR codes to have the parishioners fill it out using their phones. technology has its place in the world, and we should use it to our advantage, with homeschooling my kids I have used many online supplemental programs to further their education.
